About the role
Als Culinary Developer bist Du verantwortlich für die Entwicklung und kontinuierliche Optimierung unserer Produkte über alle LANCH-Brands hinweg. Du entwickelst neue Rezepte, standardisierst unsere Küchenprozesse und sorgst dafür, dass unsere Produkte nicht nur großartig schmecken, sondern auch skalierbar und profitabel sind. Du reportest direkt an unseren Operations Lead.

Was Du tun wirst:

  • Du entwickelst neue Rezepte und Produkte für unsere Brands (Happy Slice, Loco Chicken, Koco Chicken, Moco Chicken und zukünftige Brands) – vom ersten Konzept bis zum fertigen Produkt.
  • Du optimierst kontinuierlich bestehende Rezepte hinsichtlich Geschmack, Qualität, Kosten und Skalierbarkeit.
  • Du entwickelst und implementierst Kitchen SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), um konsistente Qualität und Effizienz in allen unseren Produktionsstandorten sicherzustellen.
  • Du arbeitest eng mit dem Procurement Team zusammen, um die besten Zutaten zu sourcing und Kosten zu optimieren.
  • Du optimierst Produkte und Verpackungen für maximale Qualität, Haltbarkeit und Customer Experience bei Delivery und im Store.
  • Du testest neue Zutaten, Zubereitungsmethoden und Küchenequipment, um unsere Produktqualität und Effizienz zu steigern.
  • Du schulst unsere Produktionsteams und Partner in der korrekten Umsetzung der Rezepte und SOPs.
  • Du arbeitest eng mit Product, Marketing und Operations zusammen, um neue Produktlaunches erfolgreich umzusetzen.
  • Du überwachst Food Trends und Wettbewerber, um LANCH immer einen Schritt voraus zu halten.
About you
  • Du hast mindestens 3-5 Jahre Erfahrung in der Produktentwicklung, idealerweise in der Food-Industrie, Gastronomie, Virtual Kitchens, QSR oder FMCG.
  • Du hast eine kulinarische Ausbildung (z.B. Koch/Köchin, Food Technologist) oder vergleichbare Erfahrung in der Rezeptentwicklung.
  • Du hast Erfahrung in der Entwicklung und Implementierung von SOPs in professionellen Küchen oder Produktionsumgebungen.
  • Du verstehst, wie man Rezepte für Skalierung und Standardisierung entwickelt – vom Prototyp zur Produktion.
  • Du hast ein starkes Verständnis für Food Costing, Portionsgrößen und Margenkalkulation.
  • Du bist kreativ, aber gleichzeitig pragmatisch und verstehst die operative Realität von Produktion und Delivery.
  • Du hast Erfahrung mit Verpackungsoptimierung und verstehst die Anforderungen von Food Delivery.
  • Du bist kommunikationsstark und kannst sowohl mit Küchenchefs als auch mit Operations- und Business-Teams zusammenarbeiten.
  • Du sprichst fließend Deutsch und Englisch.
  • Du hast Leidenschaft für großartiges Essen und brennst dafür, Produkte zu entwickeln, die Kunden lieben.

About the role
As Culinary Developer, you are responsible for the development and continuous optimization of our products across all LANCH brands. You develop new recipes, standardize our kitchen processes, and ensure that our products not only taste great but are also scalable and profitable. You report directly to our Operations Lead.

What you will do:

  • You develop new recipes and products for our brands (Happy Slice, Loco Chicken, Koco Chicken, Moco Chicken, and future brands) – from initial concept to finished product.
  • You continuously optimize existing recipes in terms of taste, quality, cost, and scalability.
  • You develop and implement Kitchen SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) to ensure consistent quality and efficiency across all our production locations.
  • You work closely with the Procurement Team to source the best ingredients and optimize costs.
  • You optimize products and packaging for maximum quality, shelf life, and customer experience for delivery and in-store.
  • You test new ingredients, preparation methods, and kitchen equipment to improve our product quality and efficiency.
  • You train our production teams and partners in the correct implementation of recipes and SOPs.
  • You work closely with Product, Marketing, and Operations to successfully execute new product launches.
  • You monitor food trends and competitors to keep LANCH one step ahead.
About you
  • You have at least 3-5 years of experience in product development, ideally in the food industry, gastronomy, virtual kitchens, QSR, or FMCG.
  • You have culinary training (e.g., chef/cook, food technologist) or comparable experience in recipe development.
  • You have experience in developing and implementing SOPs in professional kitchens or production environments.
  • You understand how to develop recipes for scaling and standardization – from prototype to production.
  • You have a strong understanding of food costing, portion sizes, and margin calculation.
  • You are creative, yet pragmatic, and understand the operational reality of production and delivery.
  • You have experience with packaging optimization and understand the requirements of food delivery.
  • You have strong communication skills and can work with both chefs and operations and business teams.
  • You speak fluent German and English.
  • You have a passion for great food and are passionate about developing products that customers love.
