Analytics Engineer

About the role

Lead strategic data analytics projects, facilitating decision making of C-level management
Build and maintain automated dashboards and reports that are effective in helping stakeholders monitor key performance indicators and easily make decisions
Build tables and models in dbt that allow less technical users to self-serve and carry out their own reporting and analytics
Serve as a point of contact for ad-hoc data questions and requests

About you

Required

Degree in STEM subject, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
Experience with one or more scripting languages, e.g. Python or JavaScript
Good knowledge of SQL and initial experience with visualization/BI tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Metabase)
Gained first experience in data analytics, data/analytics engineering through internships or in a permanent position
Excellent problem solving skills and always work in a solution-oriented and detailed manner
Curious and self-driven approach, as well as the ability to extract clear objectives and requirements from broad challenges or questions
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with stakeholders
Fluent in German

Nice to have / big plus

Data warehousing experience and an understanding of ETL (/ELT) processes
Experience with cloud services, e.g. GCP (Google Cloud Platform)
Exposure to Airflow and/or dbt
Experience working with ambiguity in a scale-up (or scale-up-like) environment
